Hektor Beheluli
Impressionist painter
Hektor Beheluli was born in Peqin in October 25 1957. He is a professional landscape and portrait painter committed to exploring, through art, the unique character of Peqin district landscape. In 1976, Hektor graduated excellently from artistic lycée "Jordan Misja" in Tirana, and since then, his major aim was the representation of ideal beauty in nature. The beauty of Peqin is recorded in a distinctive impressionism painting style and reflect the sentiment of homeland. Hektor's works are noted for their bright colours, tactile paint handling, and simple yet dynamic forms. He uses bright colour to create vivid depictions of Peqin landscapes. The depiction of natural scenery in Peqin such as hills, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests are arranged into a coherent composition in his works. He participated in the art exhibition in 1982 in Elbasan and in Tirana 2019 in the National Museum together with some of his high school friends graduated 1976. In 1981 he became a member of the association of Elbasan district artists. Hektor Beheluli participated in the Plein Air exhibition organized by Publishing house Toena where many famous Albanian painters in the genre of landscape like; Kujtim Buza, Pashk Pervathi, Sadik Kasa, Agron Dine also participated.
